I was a bit worried when I picked up Dante’s Inferno as I was told by a friend of mine that it was far to visually violent. This is something that you’d strictly keep away from your younger brothers or sisters from playing. I started of with it, I had no the issue with the nudity in the game, if your mature enough its not something offensive, but some characters made in the game where far to gruesome. I couldn’t even imagine how did the creators of the game come up with this weird ideas.
If I had to score the game out of 10, I’d give it a 4.5. Reason being that the game was to sick to be played. Secondly it copied all its ideas from GoW. That still isn’t the issue. I just couldn’t get over the disgusting characters you would come across in the game. Nothing that iI’d like to discuss in length here. Although the story of the game is good, it’s basically about a Christian crusade who goes into the depths of hell to rescue his wife who’s been taken by Lucifer. The weapons used in the game are, well, not so thrilling as there is only one. Nonetheless, the moves you can purchase later on the game will avoid any monotony. The environments are great, no comparison to GoW but they quite realistically portray hell, just like how you imagine it to be in your imagination. The fight sequences are good, not top of the line but good. The boss fights are nothing exceptional, not something you would discuss with your friends when your done with the game.
I am in no position to comment on the rest of the game as I didn’t finish it (my tummy couldn’t handle all of it). Bottom line, its a game that can be avoided, you probably can play it but it would give you any good memories about it, it might give you nightmares when your thinking about it. I’m guessing your better off chipping that money towards a used ipod instead. Good luck with finishing it, I couldn’t. I wouldn’t bothering finishing it myself.
